Caron Professional & Linguistic Training Centre offers language testing services in both official languages to federal public servants and private sector employees.

We administer reading comprehension and writing expression tests online. The oral assessment is carried out by phone, via virtual platforms or in person.

Language Profiles

This service is designed to provide a snapshot of the second language skills of an organization or department employees. It can also be used during the hiring process. Our tests follow the template of the Canadian Public Service testing services. The skills that can be assessed are reading comprehension, written expression and oral interaction. The reading and writing tests can be completed online. These assessments are designed to establish a complete and detailed language profile of the candidate.

Placement Tests for Training Purposes

We design training placement tests that are tailored to specific language programs. Our team of training advisors is responsible for the administration, maintenance and ongoing standardization of our placement tests.
